He was joined by West Bengal Chief Minister Subhendu Adhikari and Governor RN Ravi. Thousands of citizens, including children from Asian International School, gathered at the venue early in the morning to participate in the event and catch a glimpse of the Prime Minister.
Meanwhile, in Hyderabad, Telangana, unexpected rains disrupted the planned Yoga Day programme at Indra Park. Despite the showers, BJP leaders, including state chief Ramchandra Rao and MP Laxman, along with local enthusiasts, continued their yoga practice and asanas with experts. The transcript also noted that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu led the NDA alliance's yoga presentation. The nationwide events highlight the global recognition of the ancient Indian practice, which has been heavily by the central government to preserve Indian heritage and culture.
