Rotary Club beautifies Bidri Circle, Bidri Drive to showcase city’s heritage

The Rotary Club of Bidar Silverstar has completed the beautification of Bidri Circle and Bidri Drive in Bidar, along with the installation of a welcome board at the Hyderabad–Bidar entrance to the city. The initiative, described as one of the club’s major public projects, aims to improve the city’s appearance, create a positive impression on visitors, and promote Bidar’s cultural heritage.
Club president Adhish R. Wali said the project was taken up to highlight the city’s identity and encourage civic pride among residents. As part of the work, Bidri Circle has been renovated and repainted, while the nearby underpass at Bidri Drive has been transformed with murals carrying social and cultural messages.
The artwork features themes such as responsible use of social media, the internationally known Bidri craft, and Anubhava Mantapa, which is described as the world’s first parliament. It also highlights Rotary International’s ‘Unite for Good’ message, the vision of Rise Kalyana Karnataka, and the Rotary Cricket Premier League, an initiative aimed at supporting education.
Rotary District Governor M.K. Ravindra inaugurated the project in the presence of Rotary leaders, Public Works Department officials, members of various Rotary clubs, and local Rotarians.
