The Telangana Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Saturday (June 20, 2026) uncovered ₹1.5 crore in cash, 12 gold biscuits and nearly two kilograms of gold and diamond ornaments during the second round of searches of bank lockers linked to Sunkari Narahari Rao, Deputy Director, Multi Zone-II, Survey and Land Records, against whom a disproportionate assets case was booked.
This is in addition to ₹13.05 crore detected during the earlier searches on June 16, 2026. The agency opened two bank lockers held in the name of the accused officer’s wife at a branch of Canara Bank in Shalibanda after obtaining search warrants from the Special Court for SPE and ACB Cases in Hyderabad.
During the search, officials recovered cash amounting to ₹1.5 crore, 12 gold biscuits weighing 100 grams each and gold and diamond ornaments weighing around two
kilograms. Narahari Rao is currently in judicial custody, while the investigation into the case continues.
