But the move is said to carry a strong marketing dimension, with reports suggesting Ronaldinho could even take up a shareholder role at the club. As a result, it remains unclear in what exact capacity Ronaldinho would be involved with Ravenna, or whether he would feature on the field during the season. Ronaldinho last played competitive football on September 26, 2015, in his final appearance for Fluminense. “Ronaldinho will be at a marketing event with us, but he will not play in Serie C next season. He is 46 years old, so I wish he were still fit to play," Ravenna vice-president Ariedo Braida said while speaking to Tuttosport.
