Janshakti Janta Dal (JJD) chief Tej Pratap Yadav has filed a police complaint against his former aide Akash Yadav and members of his family, accusing them of attempting to damage his public image and alleging a conspiracy to kill both him and his father, RJD president Lalu Prasad Yadav. Speaking to reporters on Friday, Tej Pratap said an FIR had been registered based on his complaint and sought adequate security from Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary. He also suggested that the alleged threat against him may be connected to a larger political conspiracy.
Read Full Story The complaint was lodged at the Sachivalaya police station. Explaining the basis of his allegations, Tej Pratap said, "Based on my complaint, an FIR has been lodged against Akash Yadav, his sister Anuskha Yadav, and six others. They are making efforts to tarnish my image. My father, Lalu Prasad ji is unwell". "They are hatching a conspiracy to kill me and my father." He further alleged, "It is possible that he (Akash Yadav) wants to have me killed in collusion with the Opposition." Among those named in the complaint is Anuskha Yadav, who had earlier been at the centre of a controversy involving Tej Pratap.
Last year, despite being married, Tej Pratap publicly claimed to be in a relationship with her, triggering political and personal fallout within his family and party. The controversy eventually led to his expulsion from the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), headed by his father. However, Tej Pratap later withdrew the claim and maintained that the statement had appeared due to confusion caused by his social media account being hacked. The present dispute escalated further after Akash Yadav approached Patliputra police station in Patna before Tej Pratap filed his complaint.
Akash accused the JJD chief and one of his associates of attempting to force entry into his house to meet his family. Ends
