(PTI) US Secretary of State Marco Rubio on Saturday arrived in Kolkata and visited the Mother Teresa House Of The Missionaries of Charity. He was accompanied by US Ambassador Gor and other officials. After Mother House, the diplomat also visited Nirmala Shishu Bhavan – a children’s home run by Missionaries of Charity.
This is Rubio’s first official visit to India, marking a significant step in expanding bilateral cooperation between Washington and New Delhi in areas such as trade, technology, defence, energy security and Indo-Pacific strategy. The Mother House in Kolkata is the international headquarters of the Missionaries of Charity.
