Well, according to President Trump, he wasn’t actually trying to be the “boss", but the remark was meant to be “cute and funny". In an interview with Axios, the U.S. President went candid on the real reason behind his light-hearted remark, stressing the leaders seated at the G7 table bought it. Trump –– who was in France earlier this week for the key G7 summit –– arrived late for a meeting with world leaders.
As he swaggered inside the hall, he joked: “I’m the boss", drawing chuckles from the leaders. ‘I Was Just Being Cute’ When asked by Axios about his viral remark and how many world leaders actually believed it, Trump said: “All of them. They are allowed to come if they want and sit". Among the global leaders who attended the session on trade and economy were Prime Minister Narendra Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron, Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni, Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, among others. President Donald Trump dominated the headlines this week as he signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at the Palace of Versailles, near the French capital of Paris, to end the conflict with Iran and pave the way for the reopening of the vital Strait of Hormuz.
