Hyderabad The Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) marked the birthday of Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi with a series of service-oriented programmes at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, including a mega job fair, a blood donation camp and celebrations organised by the SC Department. TPCC president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud attended the event, cut a birthday cake, along with Minister Mohammed Azharuddin, MP Chamala Kiran Kumar Reddy, Mahila Congress president Swarna, NSUI State president Venkataswamy and leaders of the Youth Congress and NSUI.
Rajya Sabha member Anil Kumar Yadav organised the Job Mela at Gandhi Bhavan, as part of the birthday celebrations. More than 100 companies participated in the recruitment drive, offering opportunities in IT, non-IT, Banking, pharmaceutical and other sectors. Over 1,000 job-seekers secured employment through the initiative. SC Department Chairman and MLA Kavamppalli Satyanarayana cut a birthday cake and described Rahul Gandhi as a leader committed to social justice, constitutional values and welfare of Dalits, minorities and other marginalised communities.
Later in the day, the TPCC Doctor Cell, led by Dr. M. Rajeev and Dr. Uday Goutam, organised a blood donation camp at Gandhi Bhavan.
Several Congress leaders, doctors, cell representatives, Youth Congress activists, party workers and a large number of blood donors, participated in the programme.
