Hyderabad Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) president and MLC Mahesh Kumar Goud alleged that the country’s education system had suffered due to the growing influence of individuals associated with the RSS ideology in educational institutions. Addressing a press conference at Gandhi Bhavan on Friday, Mr. Goud, along with Media Committee Chairman Sama Ram Mohan Reddy and others, said that youngsters were now looking at Rahul Gandhi as the only voice defending their rights.
He expressed concern over irregularities in the conduct of competitive examinations, stating that the hard work of nearly 22 lakh students appearing for national-level tests was being undermined by administrative failures. Referring to Rahul Gandhi’s recent interaction with students in Kota under the “Chhatron Ki Goonj” programme, he said the Congress leader had consistently highlighted the concerns of young people and unemployment issues before the nation.
“The future of the youth is the future of the nation. Congress will continue to fight for students and young people until their concerns are
addressed,” he said.
