The Revised Budget, presented by Chief Minister V.D. Satheesan in the Assembly on Friday (June 19, 2026), has earmarked ₹1 crore for the setting up of ‘One Kerala Karuthal (Care) Mission’. The initiative aims at helping people who are facing serious financial hardships and are unable to afford critical medical care or finance higher education of their children.
The ‘One Kerala Karuthal Mission’ will be established as a cutting-edge, technology-driven platform to deliver direct, targeted assistance to eligible beneficiaries suffering from these extreme difficulties, Mr. Satheesan announced. The Chief Minister said the mission will operate with transparency so that every single rupee received as donations from non-governmental organisations, CSR funds, and contributions from institutions and individuals, reaches the deserving people without diversion.
The government will bear all its administrative and operational expenses, thereby ensuring that public donations are utilised entirely and exclusively for charitable and welfare activities, he added. To guarantee swift assistance
to the vulnerable strata of society while instilling absolute trust among donors, advanced digital verification systems, transparent beneficiary identification protocols, and real-time public-disclosure mechanisms will be rigorously deployed, Mr. Satheesan said.
