Deputy Commissioner Rahul Pandve, here on Thursday, chairing a preliminary meeting, instructed the officers to conduct fair, transparent, and proper examinations for NEET, which is scheduled for June 21. As many as 2,067 eligible candidates are attending examinations in six centres in Yadgir district, he said. A total of 174 officers and staff are deployed for the examination. One person has been appointed as an examination centre observer by the Testing Agency (NTA) in each examination centre.
There would be two invigilators for students in each examination hall in the district. The NTA has provided inspection materials and the necessary personnel for the inspection of the examination candidates, the Deputy Commissioner said. The concerned authorities should conduct the examination without any lapse as per the rules. The examination chief should ensure that there are proper seating arrangements for the students. He said that strict action would be taken if any copying or mass copying is found.
Examinations are being conducted under CCTV camera surveillance. A doctor’s team, with ambulances, must be present to attend to any health emergencies. He also said that adequate police personnel and two soldiers from the Central Armed Police Force are being appointed. Every candidate should undergo strict scanner checkups and security screenings, he said. Electronic items, mobiles, pen drives, earphones, microphones, Bluetooth devices, and watches would not be permitted inside the exam room. “Mobile use and photography by students and staff is completely prohibited,” he added.
The candidates must present at the centre at the prescribed time. The basic needs, including drinking water and toilets, would be provided for the candidates. There would be a prohibition order within a 200-metre radius of the centre, and no one would be allowed, except for the concerned, to enter the centre.
