The Intercept reported that internal company records show Israeli authorities petitioned Meta to take down Facebook and Instagram posts that included pro-Iran sentiment, criticism of Israel, and images depicting the aftermath of Iranian missile strikes. The documents also suggest that Meta, owned by Mark Zuckerberg, complied with some of the requests, although it is not clear on what basis specific content was removed.
