BJP criticises TVK-led govt. over ‘disruption’ in live telecast of Assembly proceedings
BJP State unit president Nainar Nagenthran on Friday (June 19, 2026) criticised the TVK-led government over the disruption in the live telecast of the proceedings
BJP State unit president Nainar Nagenthran on Friday (June 19, 2026) criticised the TVK-led government over the disruption in the live telecast of the proceedings of the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. While TVK founder C. Joseph Vijay had, during the party’s election campaign in the run-up to the 2026 Assembly polls, assured the live telecast of the House proceedings, Mr. Nagenthran alleged it was disrupted during the debate on the Motion of Thanks to the Governor’s Address to the House on Friday. “It is disappointing that, after having assured a governance of change, proceedings favourable to the government was being telecast live, just as it was done during the erstwhile DMK government, while avoiding criticism made by the Opposition parties,” Mr. Nagenthran contended in a social media post.
