Petrol prices have gone up by Rs 0.87 per litre, while diesel prices have increased by Rs 0.91 per litre.

Following the latest revision, petrol now costs Rs 99.51 per litre and diesel is priced at Rs 92.49 per litre. Third Fuel Hike in Two Weeks This is the third increase in fuel prices within a fortnight. Prices were first raised by Rs 3 per litre on May 15. Another increase of 90 paise followed on May 19. With the latest revision, fuel prices have risen by nearly Rs 5 per litre in total over the past two weeks. Dealers said petrol in New Delhi will now cost 99.51 rupees per litre after the 0.87 rupee increase. Diesel prices in the national capital have gone up to 92.49 rupees per litre after a 0.91 rupee rise.

Iran War Impact The latest hike comes at a time when the government is facing pressure from rising global crude oil prices caused by the Iran war. Officials are also looking to recover some of the losses linked to higher crude import costs. The repeated increase in petrol and diesel prices has added to concerns over inflationary pressure and rising household expenses. The latest revision is expected to affect transportation costs and fuel expenses across sectors as consumers continue facing higher prices for essential goods and services.
