According to the complaint, the accused also attempted to disgrace her in front of the entire village. The couple's four children, two sons and two daughters, were reportedly present during the incident.
Images and videos related to the alleged abuse have since gone viral on social media, drawing widespread outrage. The accused, who works as a driver in a government ministry, claimed that his wife had relationships with other relatives and said that this suspicion led him to take the step. However, the woman denied all allegations and accused her husband of subjecting her to prolonged abuse, physical torture, and an attempt on her life.
Taking cognisance of the seriousness of the allegations, police registered a case at police station and arrested the accused. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the matter. Ends
