Reliance Jio is doubling down on artificial intelligence (AI). During the Reliance Industries Limited AGM this year, the company announced new AI products, with Jio TeleFrame taking centre stage for AI agents. Jio says that the TeleFrame is a hub for all your AI agents at home. The company said TeleFrame would serve as the shared hub for a family of Jio AI agents built for everyday life, while Jio Home would offer up to 5 Gbps download and 1 Gbps upload for households. Read Full Story What is Jio TeleFrame? According to Jio, TeleFrame is designed as a voice-first, agentic AI system for the home. The device will serve as a hub that controls various AI agents for the guests, entertainment, shopping and the connected home.
Each agent has a specific role, but TeleFrame gives them one shared place to help, act and remain visible to the family, always with permission and in every Indian language. That is, you will be able to get AI to do different tasks on your behalf through the TeleFrame, without needing to open apps manually. Jio states that these agents will understand the family, its routines and the room around them, and to sense context so that the right help comes forward without anyone opening apps, searching menus or repeating what the home should already understand. In a demo video, the Jio TeleFrame reminded a family of a doctor’s appointment for later in the day, along with telling them to carry umbrellas due to chances of rain.
While planning a festival lunch, Jio said the guest agent could see the plan taking shape, check which dish would suit past family choices, prepare the grocery list and call the market, while also updating the host when delivery is on the way. The entertainment agent on the TeleFrame can also open JioHotstar, adjust the lights and volume, and keep score. Jio presented these as different agents with one focus, positioning TeleFrame as more than a basic media or entertainment product. Multi-frame viewing Another key announcement during the AGM was multi-frame viewing. On JioHotstar, users will be able to watch up to 4 different shows or streams at once. That is, you can stream a cricket match alongside a TV show, while also having two live feeds from news channels.
The demonstration showed that you can switch between the audio of different windows based on what you want to hear. Moving to Jio Home, the company said its next-generation offering would deliver multi-gigabit capability of up to 5 Gbps download and 1 Gbps upload, dedicated to the home, through its multi-gigabit-ready Jio AirFiber. Jio said the higher capacity would allow family members to do more with a single connection. Such as streaming games on the cloud or joining video calls. Ends
