Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar on Friday (June 19, 2026) announced six MLAs for the Panel of Chairpersons nominated by him to the 17th Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly. R. Vijay Saravanan (Thanjavur), V. Sathyabama (Tiruppur North), and Madhar Badharudeen (Madurai Central) of the TVK; Katharbatcha Muthuramalingam (Ramanathapuram) of the DMK; Thalavai Sundaram (Kanniyakumari) of the AIADMK; and Tharahai Cuthbert (Colachel) of the Congress have been nominated by the Speaker to the Panel of Chairpersons to the House.
