Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert said it is difficult to determine a clear winner from the new U.S.-Iran agreement. He noted that Iran suffered major military losses, including the elimination of its supreme leader and several senior political and military figures, while facing sustained air attacks by Israel and the United States.
However, Olmert said the final agreement appears similar, and possibly weaker, than the nuclear deal negotiated under former U.S. President Barack Obama, which Donald Trump left in 2018. He added that Iran may feel satisfied because it was not forced to accept conditions beyond what it had previously agreed to, despite the military pressure.
