Addressing a public gathering in Ayodhya –– the site of the historic Ram Janmabhomi Temple –– CM Yogi urged everyone to refrain from making comments that may hurt the sentiments of Lord Ram’s devotees.
“We have set up an SIT investigation (to probe Ram Temple donation issue) at the request of the Trust. The SIT probe will make everything crystal clear. SIT Launches Probe A Special Investigation Team (SIT) has launched a probe into allegations that gold, silver and diamond ornaments donated by devotees to the Ram Temple have been replaced with fake items, besides money being stolen.
Authorities are examining discrepancies in donation handling and financial records. The case has sparked heightened scrutiny over the management of funds at one of the most significant religious and cultural sites in India. According to officials, an investigation is underway into the matter and further details will be shared once the verification of financial transactions and security protocols is done. Ram Mandir Theft, And A Fresh Political Storm The case has also triggered a political storm in the country, with the opposition targeting the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Uttar Pradesh. With the UP Assembly Election scheduled to be held next year, the opposition has intensified its attack against the Yogi government. Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav called the allegation of Ram Temple donation theft “extremely shameful" and called out “government silence" as “suspicious". Congress state chief Ajay Rai accused the BJP of “selling faith", as he described the misappropriation of funds an “organised robbery".
