A retest of NEET, the national-level entrance exam for medical colleges and institutions, is scheduled to be held on June 21. During the meeting, Pradhan stressed the importance of maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and efficiency in the exam process. He urged authorities to remain vigilant and fully prepared. The minister also directed the concerned officials to ensure that necessary arrangements were in place for the smooth and fair conduct of the retest. Apart from making the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) buses free, the Delhi government has decided to establish ‘cooling zones’ at multiple locations. A total number of students appearing for the exam in Delhi-NCR stands at nearly one lakh, they said. The Indian Air Force (IAF) has already conducted over 200 sorties to transport NEET papers to various states. The measures follow the irregularities and paper leaks that prompted the cancellation of the original May 3 exam, sparking concerns over the security of India’s competitive testing system.
