Shankar and Oommen Chandy—to present the State Budget. The previous Left Democratic Front (LDF) government had presented its 2026-27 State Budget on January 29 this year. The Budget, presented by then Finance Minister K.N. Balagopal, had envisioned ₹1,82,972.10 crore as revenue receipts and ₹2,17,558.76 crore as revenue expenditure.
The Revised Budget is also being presented against the backdrop of the debate sparked by a White Paper tabled by the government in the Assembly
which painted a bleak picture of State finances. Among other things, it had also called for a revamp of the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB).
