To help curb rowdy activities in the city, the Mysuru city police have constituted Anti-Rowdy squads at the police station levels across the city. The Anti-Rowdy squads have been constituted in all four police sub-divisions and 18 police stations across Mysuru city.
The squads will be led by a police sub-inspector in each police station. โA total of 108 officials and personnel have been deployed as part of the initiative,โ a statement by the city police said. Assistant Commissioners of Police of the respective subdivisions and the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Law and Order), Harsha Priyamvada, will supervise the functioning of these squads.
City Police Commissioner Seema Latkar convened a meeting of officers and personnel attached to the Anti-Rowdy squads on Thursday. During the meeting, detailed instructions and guidance were provided regarding the
stringent measures to be taken against rowdy activities. The statement has warned that strict legal action will be taken without any leniency against those involved in rowdy activities in Mysuru city.
