A father-daughter duo, Sandeep and Pritika, were electrocuted to death in Hyderabad after a live electric wire snapped during heavy rains and came in contact with a fallen tree on their car. Sandeep's wife survived the incident with injuries. The family and locals allege severe civic negligence, claiming they made twenty-eight unanswered SOS calls to the electricity department, police, and ambulance, but received no timely assistance.
Six days after the incident, the Telangana state government and Chief Minister Revanth Reddy have reportedly not issued any statement, offered condolences, or announced compensation. The grieving family continues to demand accountability and a proper investigation into the administrative apathy.
