Stating that multilingual actor Prakash Raj is involved in a conspiracy to defame Dharmasthala, Sri Rama Sene chief Pramod Mutalik has urged the Special Investigation Team (SIT) investigating the matter to immediately arrest the actor and investigate his role further. Addressing presspersons in Dharwad on Thursday, Mr. Mutalik sought to know about the actor’s reported link with those involved in the conspiracy against Dharmasthala. He also sought to know why he was in touch with them over telephone and what was his relationship with them and whether he supported them financially.
He said that the SIT should investigate the matter thoroughly further by arresting and interrogating him and also urged the Karnataka Film Chamber of Commerce to immediately boycott the actor. Advise to Kharge Taking exception to Home Minister Priyank Kharge’s letter to RSS on its legal status, Mr. Mutalik termed it childish behaviour and said that Mr. Kharge should apologise to RSS leaders. Questioning Mr. Kharge’s authority to question the RSS, he said that the nationalist organisation is working for the welfare of 140 crore Indians and he has no authority to question the RSS.
Questioning the intent of the Home Minister, he said that it seems that it is an attempt to impress his party high command. He said that instead of indulging in such petty politics for publicity, Mr. Kharge and the State government should focus on the
issue of illegal Bangladeshi immigrants, drug trafficking and rising crime rate in the State. On the police registering a case against Trishul Deekshe programme organised by Sri Rama Sene, Mr. Mutalik said that filing a case is unjustified and urged the police to withdraw it immediately.
