The Tamil Nadu Assembly is witnessing cordiality between the governor and the government. Meanwhile, a major political realignment is underway as the DMK finds itself increasingly isolated after almost all of its former allies shifted their support to the ruling TVK. This shift has allowed the TVK to form the government.
Speculation is rising that the MDMK could be the next party to move closer to the TVK, following a meeting between the MDMK chief and the Chief Minister at the secretariat. The MDMK is expected to discuss its future course at its upcoming General Council meeting on June 27. The DMK now stands alone amid speculation about its stance in the upcoming parliament session.
