Economic Impact According to AFP, oil prices tumbled after the signing of the deal. Crude futures slid around two percent. AFP reported that at around 0625 GMT, the main US oil contract, West Texas Intermediate, sank 3.4 percent to $74.18 a barrel. International benchmark Brent North Sea crude was down 3.02 percent at $77.15 a barrel. The eurozone’s major stock markets edged higher. AFP reported that in Asian trading, Seoul was again at the forefront of gains, surging more than two percent and ploughing past 9,000 points for the first time thanks to afresh surge in chip titans Samsung and SK hynix as the AI boom continues apace. Trump Faces Criticisms Since the signing of the deal, however, Trump has been facing criticisms even within his party as many have questioned whether Tehran got too much from the deal without making substantial nuclear or missile concessions. Trump has insisted that the US will not finance the reconstruction fund and said he had not pressured Gulf countries to contribute.

Now, 13 Americans are dead, families have paid billions at the pump, sanctions will be lifted, and the bombing has stopped…This is the worst foreign policy blunder in decades." While Texas Senator Ted Cruz praised Trump for weakening Iran’s military, he also raised concerns about the financial provisions. “Is it giving $300 billion to the Iranian ayatollah?" Cruz asked on his podcast. “I hope not. I pray not." Interestingly, even vice-president Mike Pence said: “I would urge the President to take a step back, continue the blockade and pursue a negotiated settlement that commits Iran to dismantling their nuclear program, dismantling this missile program, ends support for terrorist proxies and opens the strait.
