The Shiv Sena (UBT) is on the verge of another split as six rebel Lok Sabha MPs skipped a parliamentary party meeting called by Uddhav Thackeray in New Delhi. Only three MPs—Arvind Sawant, Anil Desai, and Rajabhau Waje—attended the meeting alongside Sanjay Raut. The six absentee MPs include Sanjay Jadhav, Bhausaheb Wakchure, Omraje Nimbalkar, Sanjay Deshmukh, Nagesh Patil Ashtikar, and Sanjay Dina Patil.
With six out of nine MPs rebelling, the faction meets the two-thirds majority required to bypass the anti-defection law. Sources indicate that the Eknath Shinde faction has executed 'Operation Tiger', though the formal induction of the rebel MPs has been put on hold for a few days, with an announcement expected by the weekend. Meanwhile, Sanjay Raut dared the BJP to break the party, asserting: 'Where there is Thackeray, there is Shiv Sena.' He further stated: 'Those who come are ours.
Those who don't come are dishonest people,' as the Uddhav Thackeray faction contemplates legal action against the rebels.
