राजस्थान के माउंट आबू क्षेत्र के पहाड़ों पर बसे उत्करज गांव के ग्रामीणों ने बिजली पहुंचाने के लिए मिसाल पेश की। ग्रामीणों के इस प्रयास से अब गांव में स्थाई और बेहतर बिजली आपूर्ति का रास्ता साफ हो गया है। गांव तक कोई सीधा रास्ता नहीं होने की वजह से ग्रामीणों ने डीपी यानी डिस्ट्रीब्यूशन पैनल के हिस्सों को अपने कंधों पर उठाकर कई किलोमीटर का दुर्गम पहाड़ी रास्ता तय किया और उसे गांव तक पहुंचाया। दरअसल 18 कि.मी. का कठिन और सकरा रास्ता होने की वजह से भारी उपकरणों को वाहनों के जरिए गांव तक ले जाना संभव नहीं था।
जिसकी वजह से गांव अंधेरे में था। लेकिन ग्रामीणों ने ठान लिया कि अब गांव को रोशन करेंगे। The villagers of Utkarj village, nestled in the mountains of Mount Abu region of Rajasthan, set an example in providing electricity. Their efforts have now paved the way for a stable and better electricity supply in the village. Since there was no direct route to the village, the villagers carried parts of the DP (Distribution Panel) on their shoulders and covered several kilometers of difficult mountainous terrain to bring it to the village.
The 18-kilometer, difficult and narrow path made it impossible to transport heavy equipment to the village by vehicle, leaving the village in darkness. However, the villagers were determined to illuminate the village.
