A minor quarrel between two friends turned fatal after one allegedly stabbed the other to death following an argument over derogatory remarks against his family in Bengaluru’s NIMHANS Layout area under the Suddaguntepalya Police Station limits. The deceased has been identified as Wasim, 29, a mechanic and resident of NIMHANS Layout. The accused, Syed, 29, who worked as an assistant in a tent house, has been taken into police custody.
According to the police, Wasim and Syed were close friends. The incident reportedly occurred after Wasim allegedly used abusive language against Syed’s mother and sister, leading to a heated exchange between the two. Investigators said the argument soon escalated into a physical altercation, with both men allegedly assaulting each other. In a fit of rage, Syed is alleged to have stabbed Wasim multiple times with a knife, causing grievous injuries.
The police said Syed rushed the injured Wasim to a nearby hospital for treatment. However, doctors were unable to save him, and he succumbed to his injuries. Following information about the incident, personnel from
the Suddaguntepalya Police Station rushed to the spot, conducted an inspection and registered a case. Syed, who also sustained injuries during the fight, is undergoing treatment and has been taken into custody for further investigation.
