More than 20 children have been hospitalised in Telangana due to alleged food poisoning after eating pani puri from a local vendor. The children ate the snacks on Monday evening in the Rajanna Sircilla district. According to local residents and parents, several children reportedly developed symptoms such as stomach pain, diarrhoea and vomiting during the early hours of Tuesday.
As the number of affected children increased, parents rushed them to the District Government Hospital and various private hospitals for treatment. Sources said children began reporting symptoms one after another from Tuesday morning, and by evening, over 20 had been admitted to hospitals. However, officials have not yet confirmed the exact cause of the health issues.
