'Wait And Watch': Operation Tiger Posters Flood Pune Streets Amid Buzz Of Rebellion In Sena (UBT) Published By, Last Updated: June 17, 2026, 12:54 IST As per reports suggest six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs have merged with the Shiv Sena faction led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde. Operation Tiger Posters Appear in Pune as Sena (UBT) Faces Fresh Rebellion Buzz Fresh political uncertainty gripped Shiv Sena (UBT) on Wednesday as “Operation Tiger – Just Wait and Watch" banners appeared across prominent locations in Pune amid growing speculation of another split in the Uddhav Thackeray-led party. The development comes as reports suggest that six Shiv Sena (UBT) MPs have merged with the Shiv Sena led by Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, amid concerns of a fresh rebellion within the party.
Whip Issued to MPs Amid the political turmoil, Shiv Sena (UBT) has issued a whip directing its Members of Parliament to attend a meeting in New Delhi to discuss what party sources described as “important issues". Sources said the party could initiate disqualification proceedings against MPs who fail to attend the meeting. The move is being seen as an attempt by the leadership to assess support within the parliamentary wing and prevent further defections. MPs Reach Delhi The focus of the unfolding political drama has shifted from Maharashtra to the national capital, where several MPs reportedly travelled through different routes before converging in Delhi. According to sources, one MP travelled for several hours from Hadgaon to Hyderabad before boarding a flight. Two others reached Nanded Airport by road and later boarded a chartered aircraft to Delhi.
Another MP arrived from Mumbai, while one more took a direct flight from Shirdi. Individually, the journeys appeared routine. However, taken together, they have fuelled speculation about possible political realignments within the party. Another Shiv Sena Revolt Several MPs have reportedly become difficult to contact, while rumours continue over the possible formation of a separate parliamentary group. The developments have intensified concerns within Shiv Sena (UBT) about another organisational split. Four years after Eknath Shinde’s rebellion dramatically altered Maharashtra’s political landscape, Uddhav Thackeray is once again facing questions about whether a new breakaway faction is taking shape within his party. As the six MPs gathered in Delhi and speculation continued to mount, the appearance of “Operation Tiger" posters in Pune added another layer of intrigue to an already fast-moving political situation.
