Breaking: Sena UBT Calls Delhi Meet Amid Split Buzz As Shinde Camp Struggles For Numbers

Shiv Sena UBT has called for a parliamentary party meeting in New Delhi amid speculation of its Members of Parliament switching to the Eknath Shinde-led faction. Despite the defection buzz, the rebel camp currently lacks the required two-thirds majority to split the party legally. Out of the nine Shiv Sena UBT MPs, four—Anil Desai, Arvind Sawant, Rajabhau Waje, and Sanjay Patil—have reportedly maintained their allegiance to Uddhav Thackeray.
This leaves a maximum of five potential rebel MPs, falling short of the si member mark needed to bypass anti-defection laws. While Sanjay Raut asserted on social media that the party remains united, the whereabouts of the remaining MPs remain unclear. A planned meeting of the rebel MPs at Shrikant Shinde's residence has not yet materialized, though sources suggest a secret gathering is underway.
The rebel faction is also expected to meet Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to submit a formal letter regarding their stance.
