Andhra Pradesh will commission 24 major power transmission projects worth ₹3,507 crore between June and December 2026, says Special Chief Secretary to the Chief Minister K. Vijayanand. Reviewing the progress of transmission infrastructure works on Tuesday, Mr. Vijayanand directed the officials to ensure timely completion and commissioning of the projects, which included 400 kV, 220 kV and 132 kV substations and associated transmission lines across multiple districts.
He said the projects would strengthen grid stability, improve power reliability and support the growing electricity needs of agriculture, industry, commercial establishments and households. Officials
informed that 68 transmission projects worth ₹5,279 crore were under execution, while tenders had been floated for 29 additional projects. The 24 projects scheduled for
inauguration included key substations at Gudivada, Ainavilli, Atchutapuram, Tiruvuru and Dharmavaram, significantly enhancing Andhra Pradesh’s power transmission network and future energy infrastructure.
