The Sri Sathya Sai district police have prioritised visible policing measures, with a special focus on night patrols, crime prevention, and public awareness initiatives across the district, said Superintendent of Police S. Satish Kumar. Speaking to the media here on Monday (June 15, 2026), Mr. Satish Kumar stated that personnel conducted extensive patrols from Sunday night until the early hours of Monday, covering villages, highways, and key public locations.
The initiative aimed to deter criminal activities, enhance police visibility, and reassure the public. “The special teams carried out checks on suspicious vehicles and individuals and collected fingerprints of suspects. Enhanced surveillance is being maintained at sensitive locations, including ATM centres, banks, and prominent temples, to prevent thefts and other offences,” the SP said. Satish Kumar also highlighted that police personnel interacted with residents and noted down their issues, such as child safety, cyber fraud, and crime prevention.
“The teams have been constantly urging the public to remain alert and promptly report suspicious activities and emergencies to the nearest police stations or through Dial 112 or Dial 100,” he said. Meanwhile, as part of enforcing road safety measures, particularly on the Highways, the police conducted breath analyser tests from midnight until the early hours to identify and penalise drunk drivers.
The SP stated that the “Stop, Face Wash and Go” initiative, aimed at preventing fatigue-related road accidents among motorists traveling during late-night hours, would be a continuous drive.
