An Indian vessel, Disha, managed by a Shipping Corporation of India-led consortium, has safely transited the Strait of Hormuz. Carrying over 62,370 metric tons of LNG cargo, the vessel is scheduled to arrive at Dahej in India on June 18. According to the Shipping Ministry, ten Indian-flagged vessels and five foreign-flagged ships have safely crossed the strait so far.
Currently, eighteen thousand Indian seafarers remain in the Gulf region, with 325 situated west of the Strait of Hormuz. Thirteen vessels currently stuck on the west side of the strait are expected to reach India once the situation normalizes. This development follows the deaths of three Indian seafarers in the conflict zone.
