Buzz around OnePlus's upcoming N Series is growing, and things are getting more concrete now. The company had already confirmed the smartphone's existence earlier and has now officially announced its launch date. The new smartphone is named OnePlus N6. The new device bears a strong resemblance to the brand’s earlier launch, the OnePlus Nord CE 6, with the noticeable difference being a slight tweak to the camera island. Read Full Story Earlier, OnePlus used to have two series for the Indian market. The flagship series, which includes the OnePlus 13 and OnePlus 15. And Nord series, such as Nord 4, Nord 6, Nord CE 6 and so on.
Now, with the new N Series, OnePlus will be split across three clear tiers: the N Series at the entry level, the Nord Series in the middle, and the Flagship Series at the top. The N Series, priced between Rs 18,000 and Rs 25,000, could be specifically for a broader Indian audience. The Nord Series, sitting between Rs 25,000 and Rs 50,000, continues to serve those chasing flagship-like features at a more reasonable price. And for those who want no compromises, the Flagship Series remains at Rs 50,000 and above. In other words, the brand is trying to get OnePlus for everyone. The company has already set up a dedicated microsite on Amazon, giving a first look at the device's colours and design, while also confirming that the OnePlus N6 will go on sale through the platform starting June 30.
It could come in two colourways: Black and green. OnePlus N6 design Going by what has been teased so far, the OnePlus N6 carries a clean and straightforward design. The rear panel is flat, with a square-shaped camera island sitting in the top-left corner, while the OnePlus branding is centred neatly in the middle of the back. The frame, too, is flat, giving the device a structured, no-nonsense look overall. On the sides, the right edge houses the power button and volume controls, while the left side is kept completely clean, a nice touch that keeps things minimal. Flip to the bottom, and you will find the usual essentials: a USB Type-C port, a speaker grille, and the SIM tray all lined up together.
A secondary microphone cutout sits quietly on the top edge. Up front, the OnePlus N6 sports a flat display with a centred hole-punch cutout at the top. The bezels are on the thicker side, which is fairly expected at this price point. Ends
