A drone strike has targeted the oil tanker Bochem Marengo in the Strait of Hormuz, causing damage to the vessel. The incident occurred on the night of June 12 and 13. Managed by the Indian firm Anglo Eastern Ship Management Private Limited, the vessel was entirely crewed by twenty-one Indian seafarers.
Fortunately, all crew members are reported safe with no injuries. The strike caused damage to the ship's port water ballast tanks and port cargo tank. Despite the strike, the tanker remained underway and safely proceeded to Fujairah. Emergency response teams have been activated and naval authorities have been informed.
