A cabinet dispute has emerged in the Karnataka government as the newly appointed Bengaluru development minister refuses to assume charge ten days after portfolio allocation. The minister is reportedly dissatisfied with the partial allocation of responsibilities, demanding key urban planning agencies such as the Bangalore Development Authority and the Bengaluru Metropolitan Development Regulatory Authority.
These critical departments currently remain under the control of the deputy chief minister. Ongoing negotiations have failed to resolve the impasse, prompting potential intervention from the party high command. Meanwhile, the opposition party has mocked the ruling administration over the internal power struggle and administrative delay.
