A senior leader of the party stated that they are unhappy with the announced merger plan, emphasizing that their political stand and ideology have always been opposed to the Trinamool Congress.
The party highlighted that it had previously contested against the Trinamool Congress in the Tripura assembly elections. Registered in twenty twenty-three, the party’s debut election was in Tripura, and they continue to maintain that there is no question of a merger due to their opposing political stance.
