A political storm has hit the Trinamool Congress as a group of rebel MPs met Union Minister Bhupendra Yadav at his residence in New Delhi. The rebel faction, which has grown to include around 20 MPs including Sudeep Bandyopadhyay, Sayoni Ghosh, Mala Roy, Shatabdi Roy, Prasun Banerjee, and Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar, claims to represent the 'real TMC'.
The leaders expressed their decision to part ways with party leaders Mamata Banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee, citing dissatisfaction with the party's political and organizational functioning. The meeting was aimed at discussing their strategy before submitting a letter to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla to classify their faction as the real TMC allying with the NDA.
