Thousands of candidates appearing for the Bihar Police examination gathered at the Patliputra railway station in Patna, leading to protests, stone pelting, and vandalism. The candidates alleged a shortage of trains and delays, fearing they would miss their exam. In response, protesters damaged railway property, vandalised local shops, and blocked tracks.
The Patna District Magistrate stated that the emergency chain was repeatedly pulled and clarified that special trains were available. The police used mild force to control the crowd. The Railway Inspector General sustained minor neck injuries during the incident. Train operations have since been restored, and the situation is currently under control with police deployment remaining at the station.
