14 more arrested in Chiryala land dispute attempted murder case

Fourteen more persons have been arrested in connection with the attempted murder case linked to a land dispute in Chiryala village under the Keesara police station limits, taking the total number of arrests in the case to 17. The latest arrests come days after the police apprehended the three prime accused โ Palle Bhadra Reddy, Bollampalli Srinivas Reddy and Panja Sanjay Kumar โ who were arrested and remanded on June 7.
The newly arrested accused have been identified as Pandeti Raja, Bukya Ramesh, Golleru Nagaraju, Marutha Rajashekhar, Bandhala Praveen, Hathwala Ajay Kumar, Donthi Naga Sandeep, Kunta Srinivas, Syed Azam, Jameel Khan, Abdul Nadeem, Dharmarapu Priyanka, Tanneru Sravanthi and Pindi Sujatha. According to the police, the accused acted in concert with the three prime accused and went to a disputed parcel of land in Survey No. 156 of Chiryala village. During the incident, they allegedly attacked watchman Godugu Saikumar and assaulted victims and witnesses who attempted to intervene and protect him.
Police said the attackers used iron rods, hammers, sticks and stones, causing serious injuries to those present at the site. Investigators established the involvement of the accused based on statements recorded from the injured victims and eyewitnesses, as well as material objects seized during the investigation and other technical evidence. Special police teams subsequently traced and arrested the accused, and produced them before a court. The police said efforts are underway to identify and apprehend other individuals who may have participated in the attack.
