(Photo: X) In a shocking incident from Hyderabad, a 37-year-old woman allegedly jumped from the sixth floor of an apartment building with her si month-old baby in her arms. The incident took place in Hyderabad’s Miyapur area. The victim, identified as Isha Sahu, jumped from the building while carrying the child. While the woman died on the spot, the infant miraculously survived the fall with minor injuries, according to several reports.
Police said Isha had been undergoing depression over the last few months since the birth of her daughter six months ago. She hails from Madhya Pradesh and was employed in the software industry. Her husband also works in the same industry. She had reportedly sent her husband to a shop before taking the extreme step. Before her husband returned, she jumped from the top of the apartment with her baby," a police officer told news agency PTI. How Did The Baby Survive? The baby girl managed to survive after landing on the cables of a solar fence of the apartment boundary wall. Locals rushed the infant to a nearby hospital, where she is receiving treatment. The watchman of a nearby apartment, who heard the baby crying, pulled her out.
“The baby survived as she landed on the cables and was hanging," the police official said. Isha is survived by her husband and two daughters. She had been married for the last 11 years. Police registered a case and have launched an investigation. Officials have also urged the public not to speculate or circulate unverified information until the investigation is complete and its findings are officially confirmed.
