Vizianagaram district administration is making arrangements in a big way for Thematic Yoga classes for workers of the Viksit Bharat-Guarantee for Rozgar and Ajeevika Mission (Gramin) [VB-G Ram G] scheme in Nelivada village of Bondapalli mandal of Vizianagaram district on Sunday (June 14, 2026).
Collector S. Ram Sundar Reddy and other senior officials visited the village and reviewed the arrangements for the yoga activity. In a press release, the Collector said the programme was aimed to spread yoga among rural people and make them aware of its benefits.
He said the government was encouraging people to practice yoga regularly to lead happy and peaceful life. He hoped that the district would set a new record with maximum number of participation of people in yoga on International Yoga Day to be observed on June 21, 2026.
According to him, people were requested to give a missed call to 1800-315-7008 to register their names for their participation in yoga classes on both June 14 and June 21 in various places of the district.
