(CMO) In a significant push for green mobility, the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister on Friday flagged off three hydrogen-powered buses and 45 electric buses in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area. The buses have been developed under the Green Hydrogen-Based Mobility Project by NTPC Dadri and are expected to strengthen Uttar PradeshтАЩs transition towards green transportation. The project is also expected to generate 2,080 kilograms of oxygen per day, according to a press release. The project will also generate 2,080 kilograms of oxygen daily, equivalent to planting approximately 1,750 trees. Furthermore, the project is expected to reduce carbon dioxide emissions by nearly 1,000 tonnes per year.
Passenger Capacity Each bus has a seating capacity of 42 passengers and can be filled with up to 56 kg of hydrogen at a time, enabling it to travel approximately 750 kilometers on a single fill. The Green Hydrogen-Based Mobility Project is being regarded as a major step towards clean energy, environmental protection, and sustainable transportation. The Chief Minister also inaugurated the Noida Electric Bus Depot through video conferencing in Lucknow. тАЬPrime Minister Narendra Modi has given the country the vision of green mobility and sustainable development.
