‘No Corruption Charge’: Arvind Kejriwal Backs Bhagwant Mann’s Return As Punjab CM In 2027 Published By, Last Updated: June 13, 2026, 13:49 IST Arvind Kejriwal hails AAPs Bathinda civic win, says clean governance and welfare schemes ensure Bhagwant Singh Manns 2027 return. Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal | File photo Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Friday said Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann is certain to return to power in 2027, crediting the party’s victory in the Bathinda Municipal Corporation elections to four years of what he described as honest and people-centric governance. Addressing a large gathering during a roadshow in Bathinda, Kejriwal thanked voters for giving AAP a decisive mandate and said the result reflected public confidence in the Bhagwant Mann government. AAP Punjab in-charge Manish Sisodia and several senior party leaders were also present. “I want to thank all of you from the bottom of my heart for giving us such a magnificent victory in the Municipal Corporation elections," Kejriwal said. He said the enthusiastic public response during the roadshow showed that people were satisfied with the work carried out by the state government over the past four years. ‘Not a single allegation against Bhagwant Mann’ Praising the Punjab Chief Minister, Kejriwal said Bhagwant Mann’s government had maintained a clean image.
He claimed that every previous Chief Minister in Punjab had faced allegations of corruption, but no such charge had been made against Mann. “In the last four years, not a single allegation of corruption involving even one paisa has been made against Bhagwant Mann. Not a single allegation," he said. Kejriwal further argued that if any such allegation existed, the Narendra Modi government would have ordered investigations and raids. “Do you think PM Modi would have spared Bhagwant Mann if there had been any allegation? The ED and CBI would have conducted raids here as well," he said. According to Kejriwal, no allegations had surfaced against the Chief Minister, his family members or any minister in the Punjab government. Welfare measures under AAP Kejriwal said the state government had used public funds efficiently to deliver welfare schemes. He said the government made electricity free, provided insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh and would now begin direct financial assistance for women. “The government saved public money and made electricity free for the people. It provided insurance cover of Rs 10 lakh. Now, from July 1, Rs 1,000 and Rs 1,500 will start reaching the accounts of every mother and sister," he said. He urged party workers and supporters to work towards ensuring Bhagwant Mann’s return as Chief Minister.
