According to the minister, a jetty valued at twenty lakh rupees was inflated and billed at one point five crore rupees, and the structure subsequently collapsed. The minister stated that scams worth thousands of crores are likely within the department under the previous regime.
The contractors involved in the project are reportedly from the constituency of a prominent opposition Member of Parliament. Formal police complaints and first information reports are expected to be filed within the next two days to initiate a thorough probe into the allegations.
