India lodged a strong protest with the United States after three Indian sailors died in recent attacks on commercial vessels in the Gulf. The Ministry of External Affairs summoned the US Charge d'Affaires to convey concerns over the strikes. Conflicting claims emerged regarding the attacks on MT Marivix, MT Setablo, and MT Jalvir. While the US CENTCOM stated that American forces fired Hellfire missiles at the vessels for ignoring warnings and carrying Iran-linked oil amid the Hormuz blockade, the US President claimed that an Iranian drone attack is responsible.
The US President stated that Iran's actions are unacceptable, shifting the blame to Tehran. Meanwhile, global diplomacy shifts to France for the upcoming G7 Summit, where the Indian Prime Minister and the US President are likely to hold a bilateral meeting. During a si day visit to France and Slovakia, the Indian Prime Minister will also hold talks with the French President and inaugurate the Bharat Innovates event in Nice.
