A man allegedly strangled a woman with whom he had developed a relationship while working in Mumbai and buried her body in a field here after she allegedly pressured him to marry her, police said on Friday. According to Circle Officer Abhay Kumar Pandey, the accused, Faisal, a resident of Saifpur Khadar village under Mandawar police station limits, worked at a salon in Mumbai’s Jogeshwari area, where he came into contact with Sana (35), a nurse and a resident of Anand Nagar.
Read Full Story The accused has been arrested. The two developed a relationship and Sana had divorced her husband. When Faisal returned to his native village in Bijnor, Sana allegedly followed him and arrived there on May 29, the CO added. Pandey said Sana was pressuring Faisal to marry her. He allegedly took her on a motorcycle to a forested area near Fatehpur Sabhachand village, where he strangled her and buried the body in a field.
A missing person’s report regarding Sana was registered in Mumbai on June 2. A Mumbai Police team has reached Bijnor. The officer said efforts were
underway to recover the body on the basis of information provided by the accused. Further legal action is being taken. Ends
