District Collector Dr. A. Siri on Friday (June 12, 2026) urged students to stay focused on their academics and work towards achieving their career goals. During a surprise visit to the Zilla Parishad High School in Tuggali Mandal on the reopening day of schools, the Collector inspected the school’s functioning, academic standards, and infrastructure.
She toured the classrooms, assessed attendance, observed teaching practices and cleanliness, and also interacted with students. Siri said education was the key to securing a better future and advised students not to discontinue their studies under any circumstances. She encouraged them to cultivate discipline, confidence, and good values from an early age.
The Collector addressed the abolition of child marriages and urged students to stay united against this menace. She asked the students to alert teachers or officials if they became
aware of such incidents in their villages. Later, she distributed government-supplied textbooks to the students and encouraged them to utilise the material effectively to excel in their studies and careers.
